Ben Henry - Content Lead, Drawing and Painting, and Art Experience: Art has been a passion of Mr. Henry’s for his lifetime. As a graduate from RMCAD’s illustration program, Mr. Henry has developed several styles of 2D art that are linked together by the idea of storytelling, and capturing a moment. He enjoys creating by using multiple mediums, techniques, and continues to learn new artistic forms from his students. He has been teaching at CV since 2013, living in Colorado for over 30 years, and enjoys being in the outdoors.

Amanda Kerr - Ceramics, Jewelry and Sculpture: When asked when she knew she was an artist, Amanda Kerr replied “I’ve never been anything but.” The arts have been a lifelong pursuit for this mom of three, and include an undergrad in Technical Theater from UW-Milwaukee, a Masters of Education from Regis and a career teaching both visual and performing artists how to tap into their creative potential. Amanda proudly calls Castle Rock home and has been a Sabercat since 2007. Her own personal work spans across many mediums, focusing on collage and altered books.

Eileen Salzman - Graphic Design, Jewelry, Drawing and Painting: If Eileen Salzman were a student at Castle View High School, she would no doubt be in the Visual and Performing Arts Academy. As a Colorado native, Ms. Salzman grew up as a dancer and visual artist. She graduated from Colorado State University in 2013 with a BA in Art Education and Painting and a minor in Spanish. Her studies took her abroad to Granada, Spain and after graduation to a role as a photographer in Walt Disney World Resort. She has been teaching at CV since 2015.

Mariel Santos - Photography: From childhood, Mrs. Santos had a curiosity and interest in the visual arts. In college, she studied Art Education, and had the opportunity to be the school photographer for multiple departments on campus. She was also the recipient of an undergraduate research fellowship, which allowed her to develop problem-solving skills in art through building a large metal sculpture. She also enjoys fiber arts and figuring out different ways to combine different art mediums to create a whole piece.
